Today we learned that Trystin.......

Today we learned that Trystin he has a dog named Thor and a cat named Domino. Also we learned about Trystin is he likes football alot! Today we interviewed Trystin his birthday is February 6th, 2003, he is 8 years old, he likes math in school, and his favourite movie is Transformers 3 the dark side of the Moon, and his favourite book is Geronimo Stilton, that he has a mom and dad, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. His younger brother is named Tyler and he is 6 years old, his older brother Tysin he is 10 years old, his younger sister Tyianna is 4 years old.Trystin's favourite place is Calgary, his favourite thing to do is play football. In gym we played monster ball Branden's team was Branden, Dylan.P.
and Walace and Adrian's team was Adrian, Anthony, Jace, and Azir.

TWAS........This Week at School

This week at school we worked on our self portrits.We had boston pizza hot lunch on wednesday.Miss spicer came on friday we also had word work.We watched a bean plant time lapse video on you tube we also saw a pumkin one too.We had no school on Monday.In B.A.N.D.S we had to do it with someone elso so they could check it over.When we had mad minits Emma got in the 50 + club.We also played swamp dodgeball in gym the captins were Evan and Jenna.We had a subsitute once.

On this thrilling Thursday......

On this wonderful November day.....

We had a subsutut teacher it was fun with her and we did T.I.S. and we tolled time and had chior and had word work with her then we had lunch . after lunch recess we had computer class after we had recess than we had agenda's then mrs.A read wayside school then we had music then we went home .

On this Friendly Wednesday.......

We had family groups in the afternoon. We made friendship bracelets with the family group across from us. It was really fun to make them and give them to each other. But before we did all of that we watched a story on tumble books called Enemy Pie on the screen in the gym. It is based on friendship becuase we were making friendship bracelets. Mrs. A and Mrs. Palenuk even showed us a example if they were giving a friendship bracelet to each other.

Today when we looked at the celery stalk......

Today when we looked at the celery stalk it had turnd blue and green and the leaves turnd green and blue. We lisind to a book called Faithful elephants it was a really sad story because there was John,Tonky and Wanly they had to die because they didn't want anyone geting flatend. We had library and 6 people forgot there book's! We also had gym and we had 6 staitions they were soccer,skiping/hola hoops,limboing under  hoola hops/ bean bag lancher,tennis. We had Mad muinites and two people got into the 50plus club.

On this Magnificent Monday.........

We did are unit 4 words for word work. In the afternoon right after last recess mrs.a brought a stalk of celery and we put it in blue and green food colouring with water in a glass.  We are going to wait until tomorrow to see what happens. first period in the morning we had gym and we played tennis and it was fun. after gym we had carpet time and then we wrote in are t.i.s books for10 min before recess and then after recess for 5 min. at recess a lot of people made snowmans. they were big. after lunch recess we did math. At recess Emma,Jenna,Ella,Addy,Brooke,Amy,Nathan and Caitlin built a snowman outside.  Ella brought a carrot for the nose and Caitlin brought grapes for the eyes,buttons and mouth. right before lunch we did reading and a reading bands. right before we did reading.we also did spelling. today we also did science. in math we did breaking down numbers. Today we had an awsome day

This Week at School (TWAS)

This week at school we made delicious pumpkin muffins.We also we got our book orders and we watched you tube videos about Remembrance day and that we should remember all the soliders that died in the war.We also had alot of fun at our halloween party and Ariella was are star student. Also we did word work . It was hared. No It was really hard. Yesterday we went to the grade 5/6es classroom and made frendship bookmarks. It was easy but very fun. It was cool. Today we made a book mark with our learning buddies. It was a lot of fun!! Our learning buddies are grade 5 and 6. We also learned about the people who died in the war. We also made crosses, and now they are on the bulluton board at the front of our classroom!!! Keep poasted for more blogs!!!

The Grade 3 UNICEF Campaign

I almost forgot to mention that our class has surpassed our goal of raising $350.00 for UNICEF. We have brought in $407.00 ......so far!

The entire school has raised $1412.26 to date. This is about $12.00 more than what we had for a final total last year.

Baking Pumpkins

One of our Blog followers wants to know if we REALLY baked pumpkins. The answer to that question is a resounding "YES". Last Friday, after we measured, weighed and the counted seeds in six small pumpkins (one for each table group), we cut them open and put them into the oven at a far too high temperature! They were rescued as soon as Miss S. (our student teacher), who has a very keen sense of smell, realized that they were getting scorched. After they cooled, a few of the students had the "pleasant" task of scraping the remains into a bowl for future use. The future came today in the form of delicious pumpkin muffins. This was a long answer to your question Dave! Are you a believer now?

This Tremendous Tuesday

On this tremendous tuesday we baked pumpkin muffins.We baked the pumpkins last week and used them for the muffins. Thanks to the moms that helped us with it. After baking we did R.Y.F.O. and a  B.A.N.D.S. entry and L. to. R . We went down to the computer lab and some of us shared our power point presentaions. After lunch we set our November goals.In phys. Ed we played Tennis  it was like a tournament. Tomorrow we will make a healthy eating graph.

What happend on Halloween day

On this Halloween day 1st we had to interview the star student Ariella her favourite animal is a Wolf and an Owl. After we interviewd Ariella. Mrs.A's daughter Jenna and her husband Marc came to show their baby Sophie. Dylan N. got to hold Sophie after we got to see Sophie we had to write in our T.I.S we only got to write in our T.I.S for 15 minutes. After we wrote in our T.I.S for 15 minutes we had to go to library. Mrs.D was not there, there was a subsatute in for her. She read a book  it was about a witch who did'nt want to get fon of. After library  it was recess some people stayed and some went out. So people heard the bell to go in to do some work, our class worked unit 3 for our word work.

This week at school we counted pumpkin seeds on Friday and also did some pumpkin math and it was super fun. We also got candy in gym for some reason?  All week we all had a fantastic star student named Evan and he was an awesome star student.wow!  Thursday our class went to choir and it was fun! We also went to see a power point presentation called Sarah's poppy puppy it was awesome!!!!!! At music we got alot of gummy bears!!

A Very Busy Thursday......

Well, my goal was to have someone post a new blog today. We did not actually have any time because we had such a hectic day. I am not going to share what all we were busy with this Thursday because I AM going to have two students post a TWAS entry tomorrow.

I will say this though, I am a bit sad because my second attempt at germinating a bean has not been working. Meanwhile, Dylan P.'s plant is growing like crazy (as are several others).

I have also been trying to figure out how to post pictures on this blog. Stay tuned, as I may figure it out soon!

Pumkin art

In pumpkin art last week we made and drew the rough copie of our pumpkin art.Then we drew them on a black sheet of paper put glue over are pensil markings.yesterday we coloured them with pastels and we rubed them with are fingers to make them look real. When the glue was dry.Then the helpers cleared of the 26 reasons to love Canada papers and then we hung are pumkin art under the Canada flag and they now butiful decerate are class room.

Tomorrow..........

Well, after learning how to set up a blog last Friday, I spent part of the weekend playing around with it. Today at school I was planning on having a few of the students go onto the blog and post something. I have to admit that I tried, off and on, all day to figure out how to enter a new post. You see, I had forgotten! Apparently, I have remembered and my goal for tomorrow is to have a few of the kids enter something. Here's hoping that my memory will not fail me.

"Thanks" to Jenna's mom for coming in this afternoon and helping out. I may get home a bit earlier this evening.

First Try

WOW! I have been learning about Blogging this morning and this is my first post ever. I think that this is really pushing my learning, but I also suspect that I am really going to like this process when I get more comfortable with it. I always tell my students that even though I am old, I enjoy learning new things. I am excited.
